EDU 963 Chromebooks in Education
Explores the benefits and limitations of the Chromebook and facilitates the development of classroom management techniques designed for the 1:1 classroom. Investigates topics applicable to a Chromebook-based classroom environment, including project-based learning, cloud computing, the flipped classroom, Web 2.0 solutions, G Suite (formerly GAFE), content management systems and screencasts.
Investigates topics applicable to a Chromebook-based classroom environment, including project-based learning, cloud computing, the flipped classroom, Web 2.0 solutions, Google Apps for Education and content management systems, and screencasts. Explores the benefits and limitations of the Chromebook and facilitates the development of classroom management techniques specifically designed for the 1:1 classroom.
Special attention is given to how to teach in an environment where students have regular access to the Chromebook.
A Chromebook is included in the cost of the Wilson College version of this course (with no additional fees).
