Ownership of Learning EDU 910 Ownership of Learning

Eduspire’s courses are offered by Wilson College as individual 3-credit graduate-level courses, and most courses can also be taken as part of the Master of Educational Technology (MET) degree program.

This course will focus on the concept of personalized learning, encouraging teachers to take on the role of facilitator while their learners develop the strategies, skills, and dispositions needed to become invested in their learning. This course is designed for educators across grade levels and disciplines.  Participants should be open to shifts in pedagogy, leveraging technology, and cultivating opportunities for learners.

Besides reading, research, and discussion, participants will practice and actively engage in the process of being self directed, invested learners. This course is geared for educators across all grade levels and disciplines.

Participants will participate in three synchronous webinars as a community of learners and three synchronous one-on-one sessions with the instructors. Sessions will be held to share ideas, check on progress, and provide clarity or direction. This format parallels that of a genuine project-based environment where the process and progress are as important as the product.

*Participants in this course will have several mandatory, synchronous, video conference sessions. The dates and times are listed on each course registration page.
